Morgan Santos, Cello

 

Morgan began playing the cello at age twelve, and is a 2009 alumnus of Rhode Island College, graduating with a Bachelor’s of Music in Cello Performance. Beginning her studio teaching career as a college sophomore, Morgan has been teaching privately for over ten years.  Morgan teaches all ages and all levels.  Her studio presently has students from age six to eighty. 

As a freelancer, Morgan has performed with many artists, among them rapper Kanye West, country music artist Kylie Evans, Cape Verdean singer Desiree Fernandes, and she has worked with more than a dozen producers on hundreds of recordings.  Outside of recordings, Morgan plays over 100 events per year, many with her string ensemble, La Bella Musica, of which she is a co-founder and co-owner, alongside friend and violinist, Emily Chen. 

Outside of Rob Coyne School of Music Education, Morgan owns her own studio, Santos Cello Studio, and holds teaching positions at Moses Brown School, Salve Regina University, the Meadowbrook Waldorf School, and the Rhode Island Philharmonic Music School.
