Students Celebrate the Holiday Season by Performing at the Jingle Mingle on December 4, 2017 @ Home & Main
Students from the Rob Coyne School of Music Education showcased what they've learned during a special performance at the Jingle Mingle Annual Holiday Celebration, hosted by the East Bay Chamber of Commerce on Monday, December 4th at Hope & Main in Warren, RI.
Rob Coyne School of Music Education Students Perform at the 29th Annual Warren Holiday Festival
Students from the Rob Coyne School of Music Education put on an outstanding performance at the Jingle Mingle Annual Holiday Celebration, hosted by the East Bay Chamber of Commerce on Friday, November 24th for festival go-ers. Rob Coyne said of the event: "We were in the Masonic Temple on Baker Street and the venue was beautiful. Many people came and listened to the performers as they enjoyed the festivities. It was a great a time, and we were happy to be apart of it!"
"Beginning Band Project" at Kickemuit Middle School a Huge Success
The Rob Coyne School of Music Education proudly supports innovative learning techniques for young children and was thrilled to be a part of the Bristol Warren Education Foundation's Beginner Band Grant Program, which took place from late September through the early November. The Beginning Band Project was designed to provide students with small group instruction by professional musicians at the beginning of the school year to ensure each student has the resources needed to succeed.
Rob Coyne School of Music Education Partners with 134 Collaborative to Show At-Risk Students the Positive Power of Music
Pictured right is Rob Coyne hosting a group drum lesson with local youth at The Mathewson Street Church in Providence, RI. This special event was coordinated by the 134 Collaborative, a nonprofit organization that builds community collaborations & partnerships for social good in the heart of downtown Providence.
E for All South Coast Awards Rob Coyne School of Music Education Grand Prize
"Life is about taking chances," said Rob Coyne. "I entered my new business into an entrepreneurship program called "E for All South Coast" shortly before I opened my doors. It was a business accelerator course out of New Bedford that was made for someone like me who has never owned a business, but had a dream. This program really helped me successfully start my dream business. It is truly an honor to win the grand prize, out of 13 other businesses that were in same course as me."
We are Pleased to Announce Our New Violin, Voice & Piano Teachers
We are pleased to announce the addition of two new teachers to our school! Katie Perkins is a classically trained Violin teacher, who has years of experience with solo performance, orchestral work, small ensembles, and professional gigs. She began teaching private lessons on violin in 2008, and her students range from 8 to 68 years old. Elise Lindo has been teaching Voice and Piano in the Southcoast area for over ten years. She is well versed in musical theatre repertoire and specializes in audition preparation for children and adults in local productions. Grand Opening Event
On June 25, 2017, Rob Coyne School of Music officially opened its doors to the public. A note from Rob: "Thank you so much to everyone who came out and and made our grand opening a huge success! The support that was present was just overwhelming. Now lets spread the word about the hippest music school around!!"
